Barbaroja - a fight of courage and braveness

Lesson in Bravery

Barbaroja

David "Barbaroja" Nolan made his professional debue on July 7 th, 2006 at the Kawilla Stadium Chiang Mai.
He took the fight on 2 days notice after an injury to one of the scheduled fighters. David is a naturally "left side in front" fighter. But he had been training for the last 4 month in the opposite (south pow) stance. With only 2 days rest and built up energy for the fight, there was no time to switch back to his naturally stance.
His opponent "Khun Han" is an experienced Thai fighter with more than 10 fights.
David fought well, almost knocking his opponent out during the second round. Despite being knocked down, David stood up with a smile in his face and went straight back at Khun Han.

After 5 hard rounds Khun Han won this spectacular fight by decision on points.
