The Inner Alchemy of Wudang Mountains

Experiencing the Ancient Chinese wisdom

`

At this time Kruu had the opportunity to study inner alchemy at the “Five Immortal Temple” located at the top of the White Horse mountain. The temple is two hours away by car from the famous and touristy Wudangshan area.

According to Kruu, the hardest part of the trip was to get to the temple and to return back to Thailand. Most of the people in that part of China don’t speak a single word of English. Kruu said that some spirit teachers accompanied him to reach the top of the mountain out of kindness.

Inside the temple lives Li-Sifu, a Taoist Priest, who has been there for more than 15 years. His knowledge about internal martial arts, natural medicine and meditation is at a very advanced level.

At the temple there was also a small group of foreigners from different countries doing a course in internal alchemy and martial arts. They were all special soul people and Kruu really enjoyed spending time with them.

Lindsey and Jim did a great job helping translate the spiritual conversations that Li-Sifu and Kruu were having after dinner… May thanks to them both!

`

According to Kruu’s understanding, Li-Sifu is on a truly spiritual path, and Kruu considers Sifu as a true Older Brother.

Regarding the martial arts, Kruu didn’t focus his attention on the fighting aspects of martial arts, instead he studied some very interesting breathing exercises within the longevity and standing meditation sets. Also he learned the basics of the I-Ching, the Chinese meridians and pressure points (very helpful for healing purposes) and some of the Five Tone healing music.

`

Kruu feels that Taoism is a “non path-path” full of knowledge. Everything that he has learned will make a great improvement to the Muay Sangha philosophy of healing.
